Woodland management
Woodlands can provide a range of benefits to the owner and Coombes Forestry Ltd is able to provide advice to ensure the most suitable management is undertaken. Knowledgeable staff with years of experience in southern England will offer independent advice to ensure client objectives are met.
Chalara ash dieback
Chalara ash dieback (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus) is present across southern England and signs of ash trees in poor condition can be seen throughout the landscape. Coombes Forestry Ltd have invested in machinery which is able to safely dismantle or fell infected ash trees. We can offer an efficient and safe solution to fell individual landscape trees or plantation crops on a range of sites even if access is difficult.
Timber Harvesting
Working on a wide variety of sites Coombes Forestry Ltd undertakes woodland thinning and clear felling using harvesters, forwarders, winches, skidders, excavators and hand cutters. Regularly investing in training and new equipment means our operations are effective, efficient and carried out in good time. Crops that are not suitable for mechanical harvesting will be motor manually felled by our skilled and certified team.
Ground Preparation
Using excavators and mulchers we prepare sites for planting or natural regeneration.
Establishment
We cover all aspects of establishment including planting, beating up, spraying and cleaning.
