We have seen recent significant growth as a Principal Contractor and Framework Contractor to Network Rail and are looking for a new Procurement Manager to help us provide a ‘Gold-Standard’ service that is second to none.

We have a really exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to design, lead and manage a new Procurement function at Coombes. You will draw on your skills, experience and knowledge to establish an effective and forward-thinking service, to support our growing business.
As Procurement Manager, you will prepare and manage all contracts and agreements with suppliers and sub-contractors, utilising your negotiation skills to achieve good value. You’ll be responsible for the supplier onboarding process and managing relationships with approved suppliers. We’ll also look to you to review our current Procurement provision, advising and implementing improvements informed by your experience of best practice.
You will be adept at analysing supply markets and identifying trends in order to ensure the efficient provision of goods, services and materials across the business. You will be a proactive communicator and keep key stakeholders informed of contract performance, value, compliance and safety through effective reporting and forecasting. Your proven ability to build excellent working relationships is therefore essential.

As well as sharing the ethos and values of our Company, candidates must have the following:
· Degree in related subject, or equivalent experience.
· Professional qualification in procurement or contract management(e.g., MCIPS, IACCM), or working towards.
· Significant experience at Procurement/Contracts Manager level.
· Experience within, or knowledge of, the Rail, Civils or Forestry industries is desirable.
