About the vacancy:

COOMBES require an experienced Harvesting Machine Operator to carry out mechanised tree felling and harvesting works in clear fell, thinnings and Duty of Care works. You must have significant experience of large-scaled mechanised harvesting operations, as this role will involve daily use of a grapple saw.

You’ll be experienced in operating harvesting machines at a good level of output to meet production targets. The successful candidate will be Harvester FMOCS qualified and have an excellent working knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards. As Harvesting Machine Operator, you’ll complete all forest operations in line with site management plans and risk assessments.

This role will be predominantly based south-central England, but you may be required to travel further afield from time-to-time, as required.

The role will require you to be a self-motivated team member who can work both independently and ‘muck-in’ as part of a team. You will take pride in your work, complete tasks to a high standard, in line with COOMBES’s ethos and values.

Salary: Competitive

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, to be worked Monday – Friday.
